Student registration is now open.

The Rochester Area Teacher Recruitment Day is a recruiting event planned and coordinated for currently enrolled students and graduates of the following Rochester Area Colleges.

Alfred University

SUNY College at Brockport

Eastman School of Music

Empire State College

SUNY College at Geneseo

Hobart & William Smith Colleges

Keuka College

Nazareth College of Rochester

Roberts Wesleyan College

Rochester Institute of Technology

St. John Fisher College

University of Rochester

Please DO NOT attempt to register if you are not a currently enrolled student or alumnus of one of our participating colleges. Also DO NOT attempt to register if you will NOT be certified by Fall 2012. TRD is only for candidates eligible to teach in the fall. There is a NON-REFUNDABLE $7 registration fee that you will need to pay with a credit card in order to register. Please have that card ready before you attempt to do so.

The Rochester Area Colleges Teacher Recruitment Day is actually two different programs. The Local TRD is an entirely prescreened event that requires you to upload a resume for review by local school districts. These districts will schedule their interview in advance of Teacher Recruitment Day. TRD USA includes school districts from other parts of NY state and other parts of the United States. Candidates participating in TRD USA will schedule their interviews on the morning of Teacher Recruitment Day.

Last year, only one in four registrants (27%) received at least 1 interview at the Local TRD, while over 60% of those who attended TRD USA generated at least 1 interview. PLEASE REVIEW THE INFORMATION ABOVE ABOUT BOTH PROGRAMS BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO REGISTER. You will be asked in which program you plan to participate when you register. You can choose to participate in both programs if you wish.
